Clothing Fulfillment Associate

Clothing Fulfillment Associates (CFA) will ensure proper order fulfillment for the Clothe-A-Child program. CFA staff will be responsible for ensuring clients’ clothing orders are correctly fulfilled and distribute clothing directly to families. CFA staff will work closely with the Client Assistant Associates in the fulfillment of clothing orders and distribution to families via a curbside pick-up model. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.

This is a seasonal, part-time position. We offer a consistent, but flexible, Monday through Friday schedule that will be developed based on your availability and organizational needs. CSA staff will work four-hour shifts for a minimum of 12 hours and up to 28 hours per week from June 1 through the end of August. Hours of operation and shift breakdowns are listed below. This is an hourly position at a rate of $17 per hour. No holidays or weekends.

  • Monday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Tuesday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Thursday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Friday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Major Roles and Responsibilities

  • Fill clothing orders for clients
  • Review client “fill sheets” to ensure children receive all items indicated
  • Distribute clothing to families as they arrive for clothing pickup via curbside pickup
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Warehouse Supervisor

Required Qualifications

  • Position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching during the entire shift;
  • Ability to lift and move items that weigh 40 pounds;
  • Professional experience working with diverse staff and a history of productive and dynamic team work;
  • Preferred, but not required: previous retail, warehouse or customer service experience;

Client Assistant Associate

Client Assistant Associates (CAA) will complete administrative and customer service tasks for the Clothe-A-Child program. CAA staff will use SMS messaging software to communicate with clients as well as Salesforce software to complete administrative duties. CAA staff will work closely with the Clothing Fulfillment Associates in the fulfillment of clothing orders and distribution to families via a curbside pick-up model. This position reports directly to the Director of Logistics and Operations.

  • Basic technical proficiency with standard computer software;
  • Position is active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching for significant portions of your shift;
  • Ability to lift and move items that weigh 20 to 40 pounds;
  • Professional experience working with diverse staff and a history of productive and dynamic team work;
  • Preferred, but not required: previous Salesforce, retail, warehouse, or customer service experience;
  • Ability to problem solve and a willingness to learn;

Client Stocking Associate

Clothing Stocking Associates (CSA) will ensure proper stocking for order fulfillment for the Clothe-A-Child program. CSA staff will be responsible for ensuring Clothing Areas are correctly stocked and maintained for the Clothing Fulfilment Associate to fulfill clothing orders.  CSA staff will work closely with Warehouse staff and Clothing Fulfilment Associates, and the rest of Charity Newsies staff to execute the Clothe-A-Child program.  This position reports directly to the Director of Warehouse Operations.

  • Assist Clothing Fulfillment Associate with order fulfillment as needed

Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant will work to support the Charity Newsies Executive Director and the Clothe A Child program. The Administrative Assistant will report directly to Charity Newsies’ Executive Director and will work in tandem with the Charity Newsies senior leadership team to support the Clothe A Child program. This is a part-time position paid hourly with flexible hours at or around 20 hours per week. Over 90% of the hours will be first shift with the occasional evening shift. The position will be in person. The hourly rate will be $20.

Major Roles and Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support
    • Supports the Executive Director by assisting in scheduling meetings and providing overall administrative support
    • Help plan, execute, and manage logistics for fundraising events, including sponsor tracking and volunteer coordination
    • Informs Executive Director of overall operational challenges and their status;
    • Reviews reports, correspondence, and queries and initiates appropriate response in a professional and timely manner under the direction of the Executive Director
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with the public, volunteers and other stakeholders
    • Assumes ownership and responsibility for assigned programs, projects and duties
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
  • Programmatic Support
    • Assists with the preparation and processing of clothing applications for the Clothe a Child program
    • Handles client concerns and issues pertaining to clothing distribution
  • Fundraising Volunteer Support
    • Support Charity Newsies’ fundraising volunteer group events, meetings and provide administrative support for volunteer groups and committees as requested by the Executive Director
    • Oversee and implement special events related to volunteer groups
    • Effectively recruit and screen fundraising volunteers
    • Support volunteer group member renewal, recruitment and retention processes

  • Professional experience working with diverse staff and volunteers and a history of productive and dynamic team work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfort with online data management and volunteer management systems;
  • Event planning experience
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively
