The Charity Newsies Clothe-A-Child program
The Charity Newsies Clothe-A-Child program is designed for families in need of back-to-school clothing assistance. Qualifying families may submit one application per school year that must include ALL eligible children receiving clothing.
- Applications are submitted online only. We do NOT accept in-person, email, or phone applications.
- You need to provide your average monthly income. This is your annual income divided by 12.
- Applicants will receive a confirmation email within 3 business days of submitting the application. The confirmation will include the date & time of pick-up, the application number to claim the clothing, and a list of the children on the application. Applicants will receive an approval email within10 business days of receiving the confirmation email.
- Pick-up appointments are scheduled Monday-Thursday and selected before submitting the application. We do not have weekend pick-up. You may send someone else to pick up the clothing for you – make sure they have the confirmation email with the pickup date and time and the application number.
- Charity Newsies reserves the right to verify all information provided on the application. False or incomplete information can delay or deny the approval of your application.
- Applicants are responsible for picking up the clothing at our facilities located at 4300 Indianola Ave, Columbus, OH 43214.
- Applicants who fail to pick up their clothing within 1 week of the scheduled pickup date will NOT be able to reapply until the following school year. Unclaimed clothing will be returned to inventory after 1 week from the scheduled pickup date, and the application will be closed.
- Clothing will be provided based on the dress code of the school indicated and the clothing sizes selected on the application. Clothing CANNOT be returned or exchanged, so it is important to select the correct sizes.
