Families must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for clothing assistance:
- Parent/legal guardian and children must reside in or attend a school in Franklin County, Ohio.
- Children must be enrolled in and attend an in-person school in grades K-12 (public, private, parochial, community, vocational) within the Franklin County, Greater Columbus area.
- Household income must be less than 200% of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Poverty Guidelines. Click here for the HHS Poverty Guidelines.
- Only the parent or legal guardian may apply.
- Children may not be on multiple applications.
- All children in your household must be on the same application. There is a limit of ONE application per family per school year.
- Multiple applications for the same family will not be processed.
- Charity Newsies reserves the right to verify all information provided on the application. False or incomplete information can delay or deny the approval of your application. Invalid applications cannot be approved.
Program Details
All clothing applications must be submitted online only. Applications will open in early summer and remain open until applications for 18,000 children have been processed. We do not take in-person applications at our headquarters or email/phone applications.
