The second Saturday of December every year is Drive Day, Charity Newsies’ largest grassroots fundraising effort. Just as they gathered in 1907, Charity Newsies’ members position themselves at various street corners throughout Franklin County to sell special edition newspapers. All of the funds raised on Drive Day are used to directly fund the purchase of brand new clothes for Franklin County children from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Drive Day will be held on December 13, 2025 this year with Newsies stationed at corners in Franklin County in their signature white jumpsuits.
