The second Saturday of December every year is Drive Day, Charity Newsies’ largest grassroots fundraising effort. Just as they gathered in 1907, Charity Newsies’ members position themselves at various street corners throughout Franklin County to sell special edition newspapers. All of the funds raised on Drive Day are used to directly fund the purchase of brand new clothes for Franklin County children from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Newsies will be stationed at corners in Franklin County in their signature white jumpsuits. You can start saving your bills and change today to share at a corner or you can give online to support the work of Charity Newsies from the comfort of your computer here today.
