Did you know that the average annual amount spent on back-to-school clothes, shoes, supplies and electronics is close to $700 (National Retail Federation)?
That is a lot of money!
A lack of proper clothing can negatively affect a child’s self esteem and contribute to school absences – we are here to make sure that no child be kept from school due to inadequate clothing.
Students enrolled in Franklin County schools (public, parochial, vocational and charter) in Grades K-12 are eligible to receive help from Charity Newsies. If your child meets the eligibility requirements, we can help by outfitting him/her with new school clothes or uniforms, warm winter coat, hat and gloves.
Wearing proper clothes to school can make a difference in how your child does in school.
Charity Newsies wants every child to stay in school and be the best they can be!
