Director of Advancement and Engagement

The Director of Advancement and Engagement will work closely with the Executive Director to help manage Charity Newsies’ fundraising, marketing, communication and member relations efforts. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for strategically promoting Charity Newsies, cultivation relationships with key constituent groups, and soliciting gifts that support our mission.

Additionally, the Director oversees all external communications ensuring that Charity Newsies maintains a clear and consistent voice to its stakeholders. This position works closely with the Board and the Membership Committee to develop strategy and oversee the implementation of all member programming and services and the member renewal, recruitment and retention process.

Clothing Clerk – Seasonal Part-time

On a daily basis, clothing clerks will process client application fill-sheets with requested clothing items as indicated and as per school dress code policy. Completed clothing requests will then be brought to the pick-up staging area and arranged by order number. Additionally, the clothing clerks are to ensure clothing is properly stocked and neatly maintained, as well as relating any inventory needs to the warehouse manager.

The Clothing Clerk must have the ability to work independently with little supervision.

This position is part-time, seasonal position. Offered from July 25 – December 31, 2022. Monday – Friday, 8:30am-2:30pm. Weekend, evening or holiday hours are not required. Hourly Rate = $15.
